Ultraventure 4

These seemed to have a bit more forefoot room than Ultraventure 3, but not enough difference to change sizes.

(What's this?)My experience with these was really mixed. I tried both a 7.5 (my usual size) and a size 8. The 7.5 fit like a glove, but I felt like I needed just a bit more room. There was a drastic difference in the 8s, to where they felt floppy and clowny. I settled on the 7.5. As someone who struggles with some numbness in my outer toes, the wider toe box really appealed to me as a possible solution. In my initial trial walks with them, I found this to be true. Unfortunately, the heel cupping cause a new issue I've never experienced in any other shoe I've worn. I started getting burning pain and blisters on the insides of my heel. This started impacting my pace and made walking a miserable experience. I am still really glad I tried them out, even if they weren't the right shoe for me. So, I'd still recommend them to others to try as an alternative to traditional fitting running shoes.

(What's this?)I have Morton's neuroma in both feet and topo shoes allow me to run pain free. The foot shaped forefoot is perfect for letting my feet splay. I usually wear the cyclone 2 but got the atmos as I've begun increasing distance and wanted a bit more cushion. Wore them for my first 10k and the race went great! #sweepstakes

(What's this?)I love how low slung these are. Minimalistic, comfortable and feels like premium materials. It’s a modest shoe that doesn’t score any style points in my opinion, but that’s not what they are for. Personally I will use it as a workout shoe and an everyday active shoe. Other reviews have probably commented on the high arches. It’s true. I have high arches and I still notice it.

Fit and size feels true. The cushioning at first felt unbalancing for my feet, like the shoe was a balance board in itself. I tend to overpronate, and it first felt like I couldn't get a neutral position, going from over- to under-pronation during a single step. Being mindful of foot placement helped out, and the shoes seem better now. Not sure what the extra length of foam jutting out from the heel is for... for folks who heel-strike? A design "extra"? If it has no purpose, ditch it, it looks odd, although not odd enough for me to stop wearing them :-).

Very comfortable shoe. Like walking on air. Love the wide toe box.

Very comfortable fit though I have to replace the footbeds with something that has arch support. Soles are very durable and great for light hiking.

(What's this?)I always wear 8.5 with athletic peds and these felt a little too small. The wide toe box is really nice and it kind of masks the shortness of the shoe overall, I probably could get away with it. The shoe is not attractive to me at all, but that's a matter of personal taste. It doesn't look so much like an orthopedic shoe on line. In person, the grey on top makes it appear larger and clunkier. If comfort is all that matters, these are very comfortable.

I use these Atmos for my cool down after my morning walks. I also use them the rest of the day.

(What's this?)I have been looking for minimal running shoes for so long and these are literally perfect. They feel so nice to run in and they are so comfy. I wish that you made more fun colors in this model because I would buy them. Please never stop making these

(What's this?)This is my first pair. I catch myself smiling when I wear these.. Apparently, my other shoes didn't make me happy. Since they arrived, I brag , show off and probably bore my friends with the comfort.

(What's this?)The 4s are horrible, they don't feel anything like the 3. I have EDS, it's so frustrating to finally find a shoe that works, only to have it "improved" into being unwearable with the next version upgrade. The 3 is stable (no ankle rolls), lightweight, flexible, they drain and dry quickly, the vibram lug soles have great traction and they're still flexible enough to feel/balance on uneven surfaces instead of teetering on them. I also like that they come in black. The 3s don't need improvement

(What's this?)Super cute and comfy! I love the wide toe box - doesn't hurt my bunion. I love that they are waterproof and I can't wait to go hiking in them!

I typically wear the Phantom for walking and the Pursuit for trail. The first day I wore the Terraventure around the house they felt horrible. I use orthotics and they rubbed my left arch. Tried them for the next few days and they finally broke in. However, I prefer the zero drop so I will probably go back to the Pursuit though these are comfortable and I like the rock plate. Still don't like the gaiter system. Maybe if Topo sold some cool colorful gaiters like my dinosaur gaiters.

(What's this?)just a little too short for a running shoe, otherwise great. great gentle arch support, holds the heel well and comfortably, plenty of room in the toe box.

(What's this?)I needed a wide toe box to help with some foot and Achilles pain. Wow, I put these on and just sighed with relief. I don’t think the top half of my foot has ever had enough room, due to my bunions. And my heel is snug so I’m not popping out of the shoe at the back. The arch support is also lovely.

I have owned and worn until I couldn't wear them anymore some of the previous versions of the STs. Please, just rerelease the ST-2. Great shoe. ST-3 is not the 2, but pretty good. ST-4, no thank you. Threw them away. ST-5s, better than 4, and closer to the 2, but the arches are an uncomfortable lump, which makes them hard to love. A simple reissue of the ST-2, I'm willing to bet, would be met with great praise. You got this!

(What's this?)The shoes are comfortable under foot providing a great cushion for shorter to longer miles. The draw backs are: tongue is too short, heel doesn't provide enough cushion, shoes may be slightly narrow around the arch for some and the shoes are off balance. The shoes started off great and the wider toe box was greatly appreciated! On the 5th wear (about 10 miles of wear time) the heel began to rub causing pain. The balance of the shoes shift more towards the heel leaving the forward momentum harder to turn over. The narrow cut around the arch will be personal preference, personally found it too narrow with too much arch support maybe to compensate for the narrow cut. Adding cushion on the heel, rocker technology, widening the shoes ever so slightly and a longer tongue would be great!!
